EcoCAR EV Challenge Year 4 Competition

Kristen is the Department Director for Strategic Transportation Education & Partnerships (STEP) at Argonne National Laboratory where she manages a portfolio of advanced mobility research, education, and workforce development programs. She also leads Advanced Energy Workforce for Argonne's Advanced Energy Technologies directorate, scaling workforce programs across the nation.

Most notably, Kristen serves as the program director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition (AVTC) Program, where she has been at the forefront of shaping the program for nearly thirty years. Kristen chairs the EcoCAR Innovation Challenge Executive Steering Committee, overseeing the launch of the 15th AVTC series in partnership with the program's headline sponsors. The Innovation Challenge will mark Kristen's 12th AVTC series as an organizer!
